Miami-Dade County Partners with HOPE Hydration to Bring Free HydroStations to Locals

Staying refreshed in Miami-Dade just got a lot easier. HOPE Hydration is teaming up with Miami-Dade County and the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) to launch a countywide pilot of our HydroStations, giving residents and visitors an easy way to stay hydrated while cutting down on plastic waste.

The rollout starts with 15 HydroStations and is built to scale into a full countywide network spanning transit hubs, parks, and public spaces. That means more free water access for the millions of people who move through Miami-Dade every year.

HOPE Hydration is known for bringing eco-friendly refill stations to major events and public gathering spaces, making it simple for people to refill a reusable bottle instead of grabbing a plastic one. Nationwide, we have already saved more than 5.2 million plastic bottles with our network.

"Great communities are built through partnerships that improve everyday life while protecting our environment," said Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava. "These hydration stations will expand access to free drinking water, reduce plastic waste and help build a greener, more sustainable Miami-Dade."

The program runs at no cost to taxpayers. Brand sponsorships power the HydroStations, so the County gets a free public amenity that also generates revenue.

Beyond hydration, the stations double as community touch points, with the ability to display public service announcements, community information, and emergency alerts.
